We offer our congratulations to all those families who welcome new additions on the first day of 2026 and welcome these brand-new Albertans to the world.
Behind every joyful occasion is the commitment of health professionals and organizations working together for healthier communities.
Acute Care Alberta is the provincial health agency dedicated to overseeing the governance and coordination of high-quality, timely and compassionate acute care services across the province when Albertans need it most. By working in close partnership with acute care service providers, hospitals and urgent care centres, we ensure streamlined access to critical care services across the province.
Please note that Acute Care Alberta and Alberta Health Services will not be connecting media with the family for interviews and we are not tracking first babies for individual communities.
